Civil Investigations

A petition or similar official document being completed * Process Serving

We provide a nationwide service and will tailor our fees in most cases, to suit the requirements of our clients.

Bankruptcy Petitions, Statutory Demands, Injunction Orders and many more served and supported by either Affidavit or Statement of Service.

* Domestic/Matrimonial/Peace of Mind Enquiries

Whether you have grounds for suspecting your partner is being unfaithful, or just a small suspicion that all is not quite right, we can provide you with the evidence to either confirm those suspicions, or at least provide you with the peace of mind that relives all those stressful hours you have been wondering - IS HE - IS SHE??

We can provide you with such evidence using covert video, vehicle tracking and also audio evidence in certain situations. Please call us for free advice.

The majority of our surveillance operatives have either a specialist Police or Military background in covert surveillance methods, are skilled drivers and trained in the use of a vast array of surveillance equipment including video, audio, and GPS tracking and trained to cope with any task efficiently and professionally.

Evidence may be gathered to support a suspicion that an employee is feigning an industrial injury, or a claimant is exaggerating the effects of a road traffic accident. Surveillance can also provide intelligence on where your drivers/salesmen etc are spending their days when they should be with your customers. Whatever your problem, we can discuss the best way forward and relieve you of that headache!

* Witness Statements

We are professional interviewers and if required provide witness statements to support the investigation in question. All statements are taken by our experienced investigators in matters of traffic accident enquiries, industrial injury enquiries or wherever a case may have to be heard at either a Tribunal or the County courts and under Civil Procedure Rules. In criminal matters, such statements will be obtained under Section 9 of the Criminal Justice Act for hearings at a criminal court.

We now live very much in a compensation culture. Amongst the many genuine claimants for personal injury compensation resulting from a car accident, injury at work or even a simple trip on an uneven pavement, there are a growing number of those who grossly exaggerate the effects of the injury on their daily lives, or even those who purposely go out of their way to concoct a story about an alleged accident and thereby falsely and fraudulently making a claim that could run into thousands of pounds. To combat this, we can provide you the client, with evidence to disprove these allegations either totally, or sufficiently enough to be able to reduce any claim to a more reasonable level. Mostly, this will be by way of covert surveillance on the subject using high tech covert equipment to record the movements of those under suspicion. We support our findings with full reports, edited DVD footage, surveillance logs and witness statements. D-Tect prides itself on its extremely high success rate and continues to push forward for its large client base.

* Tracing of Debtors/Missing Persons

We provide a successful tracing service to locate debtors, or missing persons in general. We have been very successful in locating long lost family members worldwide. This can be a delicate subject and we therefore require certain information from you about your relationship with the missing person to prevent any misuse of the information provided to you.

It may necessary for us to firstly alert the missing person (not a Debtor!) as to your interest and for them to decide whether or not they wish to be contacted. We have a duty of care and responsibility to protect a person’s rights to privacy under the provisions of the Human Rights Act, and to prevent ‘Stalking’. Unfortunately, some Stalkers have tried to use this industry to locate their prey, and of course it is a criminal offence.

Assets come in many forms, not just cash but vehicles, houses, property in general. It may be necessary to prove a persons financial status when being sued or suspected of involvement in fraudulent business transactions, or even in matrimonial cases where the assets are to be shared upon a court order and have been spirited away by one of the parties.

We can assist you with these enquiries and will gladly discuss the merits of your particular case and likely successes.

* Company Profiles/Due Diligence

It is important to know your client and whether or not they are at least credit worthy, but also whether or not they are trustworthy and no threat to your business. Most times your portfolio of clients will cause you no trouble. They will pay your invoices on time and regularly.

However, complacency can cause great hardship, and in the extreme lead to bankruptcy. The proper background enquiries in due diligence and company profiling could be the difference in you making a good profit or going under.

We can conduct the necessary enquiries to allow you to make an informed decision, and thereby help to keep your business buoyant and profit protected.

Road traffic accidents are growing in number including contrived accidents. It is important to collate as much evidence as possible to be able to properly apportion the blame to one driver or the other or disprove the allegation all together and therefore have sufficient evidence for the insurance companies involved, to be able to properly deal with each case. Thorough initial investigation can also thwart fraudulent claims where the ever-increasing incidents of ‘contrived accidents’ are costing the insurance industry millions of pounds.

We can provide a service to both the insurance and legal sectors in witness interviews, statement taking, locus reports, photographs, background enquiries and much more, including gathering evidence in support of suspected fraudulent claims using covert surveillance for instance.
