D-Tect Investigations & Surveillance Consultancy was formed in 1996. The Founder and Principal, is a former 'Career Detective', who retired from the Merseyside Police Force with an exemplary service record, and who spent the majority of his career with specialist CID departments dedicated to pursuing ‘core’ criminals.
The investigations led to the arrest and conviction of major national and internationally based criminal gangs involved in drugs, money laundering, murder, kidnap, theft of high value loads armed robbery and large scale fraud. Many of these investigations resulted in the awarding of numerous Commendations from Chief Constables, Judges and the Attorney General.
The expertise and skills gained from many years working at this level, both in the UK and abroad, and the advancement of modern technology in support of such investigations, provided the opportunity to develop this experience in the private sector.
Incorporating the additional skills, knowledge, and expertise of like-minded former law enforcement, military and civil investigations personnel, D-Tect progressed to be able to offer both a National and International service to our clients, engaging agents throughout the world with specialist skills and local knowledge of the regions involved.
Rapid advancement in Technology and Communications and easier transportation facilities and reduced border patrols particularly in Europe, have in some case provided the criminal with easy passage, but with our numerous contacts and associates, most of the perceived problems can be overcome.
We provide a vast amount of experience and expertise to our clients in the Legal Profession, the Corporate sector, the Insurance industry, Financial Institutions and also Private clients.
As Professional Investigators we are licenced under both the Data Protection Act and Consumer Credit Act.
All instructions received are conducted in compliance with the above Acts where applicable. We are also bound to comply with other government legislation such as the Human Rights Act, Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act, and Rehabilitation of Offenders Act.
